Selling a 3-year-old fridge: take ₦90k now or wait for a better buyer?

It works well, no rust, one small dent at the back. Listed at ₦110k two weeks ago, three people asked last price and disappeared. Another offered ₦90k cash today. Take it, or hold until I move? Also how do you know if a buyer who says I will send a rider is real?

A driver I can trust for school runs, Lekki to Ikoyi, weekdays

Two children, 7am out and 3pm back. I have had three drivers in eighteen months. One sold fuel from the tank. One was excellent and relocated to Canada. One I am still not sure about. Do people here use an agency or a personal referral? What checks did you actually do, and what do you pay now, honestly?

Skincare that survives Lagos humidity. What actually stayed on your face?

Everything I buy was tested by somebody living in cold weather. By 11am on the Island my moisturiser has slid to my chin and my sunscreen is in my eyes. I'm not asking for a ten-step routine. What is light, doesn't pill under makeup and doesn't run when NEPA takes light at night? Say your skin type so we know who you are.

Japa or stay? The answer you'd give your younger sibling, not the internet

I left three years ago. I earn more and I am lonelier. My brother wants to follow and asked me straight. I told him I'd ask people who are actually there.

My late father's phone started receiving good morning my love

My dad died in March. We left his line on for bank alerts. Since then a message comes in most mornings around 6, good morning my love, from a number he saved as Plumber 2. I told myself it could be a wrong number or one of those broadcast things. Yesterday the person wrote that he has been quiet and asked if she should come to the house. So it's somebody who knows the house. Mum hasn't seen anything. I don't know if I'm protecting her or just scared.

What's the pettiest reason you ended a talking stage? No judgment (there will be judgment)

He typed lol with a full stop. Lol. Like a threat. I couldn't continue.

Has anyone used a nanny agency in Lagos that was worth the fee?

Going back to work in January. Baby will be five months. Agencies are quoting a placement fee equal to two months of the nanny's salary, plus medical tests, plus a replacement guarantee that I've heard is hard to claim. I'd rather hear from people who paid. What did the agency really do for you that a referral from church couldn't?

What's your most irrational fear that you know is silly?

Someone calling me instead of texting. I see the phone ringing and I just watch it like a snake.

My landlord sold our building twice. Both buyers came to collect rent the same morning.

7am, two men at the gate, each with a survey plan, each with a lawyer, each saying from today you pay me. The old landlord's number is switched off and his wife says he travelled for a short time. Eight flats. Nobody has paid anybody. The police said it's a civil matter and left with my neighbour's malt. Who do we pay?

My ex returned my jersey, my charger and my Tupperware, and kept the dog.

The dog's name is Prince. I bought him, fed him, took him to the vet. She says he chose her because he sleeps on her side of the bed. I have now seen him on her Instagram in a hat. Is there any argument in this country for custody of a dog, or should I let the hat win?

A loan app messaged my whole contact list that I'm a thief. I borrowed ₦18,000.

I was four days late. This morning my pastor, my ex, my landlord and my HR got the same message with my picture: This person is a fraudster, warn her to pay. I have the money now. I paid. The messages are still going out. My mother called crying. What do I do, apart from relocating to another country?

My best friend has texted my boyfriend good morning every day for 8 months. He told me himself.

Two hundred and forty-something good mornings. He never replies, just 👍. He showed me because last night she sent good morning at 11pm, and he got scared. She was my maid of honour at my sister's wedding. When I asked her about it she said I just like spreading positivity. To him. Only him. Every day.

No weapons. Open field in Oshodi. The conductors have numbers, lungs and years of hanging from moving buses. The landlord has one tenancy agreement, a two-year upfront clause and a tenant who is ready to pay tomorrow. Who wins?

Sellers: how do you confirm payment before you release goods?

I sell provisions. Twice this year I have released goods on a fake alert. The message looked correct in every way. Those of you that sell, what do you do now?

Unpopular: if he asks to split the bill on the first date, there should be no second date.

Not because of money. Because of the planning. You asked me out, you picked the place, you ordered the expensive wine, then you brought out your calculator. Fight me in the replies.
