I am from Accra, four years in Lagos, still too polite. She had two big bags and a baby on her back so I carried one to the bus for Ibadan. That was it. She thanked me in Twi which surprised me. Thursday two officers came to my office with a printed photo of her and a CCTV still of me holding the bag. They would not tell me what was in it. They took my statement and asked if I had ever been to Benin. I have not. I cannot stop thinking about the Twi.
