Thrift tip from my Sunday market round: check the seams first, not the label.

I used to hunt for brands. Now I turn the clothes inside out. Good stitching shows on the inside and it tells me if it will survive five washes. Last Sunday I got a wool blazer for ₦4,000 whose seams were neater than shops that charge ₦40,000. The stall owner said madam you know your thing. I do not. I have just been cheated before.
