Our estate gateman owns four of the houses on our street.

We found out because the agent showing my neighbour a house kept calling the owner, and the gateman's phone kept ringing in his pocket. He has been opening the gate for us for nine years. He says he likes the work because you see everything. The resident chairman is renting from him. The chairman has been owing him dues for two years.
